AVA Trio Çanakkale Concert

Pioneering Mediterranean-jazz group AVA Trio performed at StudioMAHAL on Friday, December 6th, as part of their Grand Turkey Tour.
Founded in 2015 in Groningen, Netherlands, AVA Trio consists of Giuseppe Doronzo from Italy (baritone saxophone, mizmar, hulus, sola); Esat Ekincioğlu from Turkey (double bass); and Pino Basile (frame drums and cupaphone). During their archaeo-musicological journeys through the ancient cultural layers of the Mediterranean basin, AVA Trio has released four albums and performed dozens of concerts at some of the world's most prestigious festivals. Their Grand Turkey Tour, spanning 14 concerts from Istanbul to Van, offered music lovers in Çanakkale a unique experience at StudioMAHAL.

The AVA Trio Çanakkale Concert was organized in collaboration with Bordobina and Backtobackline.

The event was supported by the Dutch Consulate in celebration of the 100th anniversary of Turkey-Netherlands friendship.
