🌊 CALL FOR APPLICATIONS // Deniz Villaları: Ecological Crossings // Residency Program – Turkey & Mediterranean Region
The Institut français de Turquie and the Goethe-Institut Türkei, in collaboration with local and Mediterranean partners, are launching the first edition of Deniz Villaları: Ecological Crossings, a new residency program focused on artistic creation and ecological themes in the Mediterranean.
This initiative supports interdisciplinary artists exploring the relationships between art, ecology, and the Mediterranean environment, through a 2-month residency between September and December 2025.
🗓 Apply before May 31, 2025
🛶 Residencies hosted in Turkey (Urla, Izmir, Çanakkale) or in France (Paris, Marseille, Cassis)
💶 €2,000 production grant + €2,000 living allowance
🏡 Accommodation + travel covered
💬 Webinars, mentoring, and potential sea-based research
🎭 Final presentations in 2026
🎯 Who can apply?
Artists, curators, writers, critics, and researchers
Working in visual arts, dance, music, film, literature, journalism, or public art
Based in or a national of France, Germany, or Turkey
Fluent in English (a good level is essential, so the rest of the info continues in English)

✔ Portfolio (up to 15 pages)
✔ Residency project proposal (2–4 pages)
