Çanakkale Biennial Programs are Back!
Çanakkale Biennial, which brings contemporary art together with the local through an international event and positions the city of Çanakkale as a cultural destination, aims to create with its social programs an environment of interaction and sharing for different segments in Çanakkale.
During its almost twenty-year adventure, Çanakkale Biennial has accumulated ideas and experiences on how contemporary art can interact with different segments of society with its structure that adopts the models and strategies of socialization rather than popularization. Social programs that focus on children, youth, women and dissability groups aim to ensure that these groups interact actively with contemporary art and cultural productions, and that their demands, productions and expectations in this context can be shared with a wider public. In addition, it creates the conditions necessary for the productive energies to find expression in the public sphere by being inspired by the intellectual, symbolic and formal processes of art.
Çanakkale Biennial Programs have started to come together again after the pandemic process and to prepare for the 8th Çanakkale Biennial, which will take place this autumn.
