Datassist and the 9th Çanakkale Biennial: An Innovative Collaboration

Datassist, with its 25 years of international experience in software and its multifaceted approach focusing on innovative processes at the intersection of art, design, and digital technologies, became a co-supporter of the 9th Çanakkale Biennial. Recently opening new offices and R&D units in Çanakkale, Datassist, now located next to MAHAL, kicked off its “Art-Technology-Thought Meetings” series as part of the Biennial on November 8 at StudioMAHAL.
During the event, Zeynep Öykü’s Narrative Harp Concert and Uğur Özbağcı’s talk on the relationship between art and capital, focusing on unchanging phenomena in the context of economic philosophy, were met with great interest.
The event began with Zeynep Öykü’s narrative harp concert, where she delved into the history and features of the world’s oldest instrument, the harp. Following the concert, Datassist CEO Umut Özbağcı joined for a discussion on the relationship between art and economy. Moderated by Deniz Erbaş, the conversation explored unchanging aspects of the art-capital relationship, drawing from Morgan Housel’s “The Psychology of Money” and the broader context of economic philosophy.
Following this first event, the Art-Technology-Thought Meetings series will continue with new ideas and projects, contributing to the 9th Çanakkale Biennial.
