FlashBack 2
Çanakkale Biennial, one of Turkey's most qualified and sustainable international contemporary art events held outside of Istanbul, has left 16 years behind. With its contents focusing on the intersection of the historical, cultural and natural layers of the city with the world agenda, it created a unique contemporary art context in Çanakkale in each edition. In the second of the "FlashBack" exhibitions, which aim to take visitors on a journey through the memory of the biennial in 2023, the works of Mustafa Horasan, Nezaket Ekici, Pınar Yolaçan, Seyhan Boztepe and Varol Topaç, which were exhibited in the first 4 editions of the biennial, were brought together. The “FlashBack 2” exhibition, which has a historical dimension by reflecting both the fresh energy of the Çanakkale Biennial in its early years and the early productions of the artists, is opened to visitors at MAHAL between 27 June and 5 August.
