OPET Troy Art Days 5
The 5th OPET Troy Art Days were held at Opet Tevfikiye Arkeo-Village on Sunday, October 16th within the scope of the 8th Çanakkale Biennial!
Tevfikiye Arkeo-Village, which was renovated with the OPET Respect for History Project and turned into a unique destination in the Troy cultural atmosphere, once again met with art within the scope of the 8th Çanakkale Biennial.
Young generation artists from Çanakkale, who came together around the theme of Troy and mythology in Tevfikiye Arkeo-Village, moved their workshops to the village square and carried out original works inspired by the geography of Troy. The productions that will emerge at the end of these workshops, where visitors also witnessed the production processes, are planned to be exhibited at Tevfikiye Arkeo-Köy Gallery in the coming months.
Ceramic wheels, material-oriented design and wood printing booths brought together children from different age groups in the art workshops. In these workshops, adults as well as children became a part of the experience of co-production. Juggling and acrobatics shows, different games and music quartet concerts transformed the village squares into a fun atmosphere.
In the panel organized within the scope of Troy Art Days in Tevfikiye Archeo-Village, Çanakkale guides and operators Gizem Yıllar and Barış Adalı shared their knowledge and experiences on the developments in Çanakkale tourism in the process that started with the 2018 Troy Year and tourism trends after the pandemic.
