Ortaklaşa Programme Bursa Search Conference
A large team representing Çanakkale civil society participated in the search conference held on 10 May in Bursa as part of the "Ortaklaşa: Culture, Dialogue and Support Programme", which is implemented by the Istanbul Foundation for Culture and Arts (İKSV) with the support of the European Union and aims to improve the dialogue and cooperation between civil society organisations working in the field of culture and arts in Turkey and municipalities. Deniz Erbaş on behalf of Troy Cultural Association, Seyhan Boztepe on behalf of ÇATKAV and CABININ, Gül Yürün Mavinil on behalf of Troy Foundation, Mert Karaçıkay on behalf of Bordo Bina and Saygın Mavinil on behalf of MAHAL participated in the conference, which was hosted by Bursa Nilüfer Municipality at Pancar Depot, which was recently restored and brought into the cultural life of the city. Representatives of provincial and district municipalities from the Marmara region as well as non-governmental organisations working in different fields came together around the concept of "cultural cooperation".
"Author Aslı Tohumcu's morning speech, in which she talked about her emotional connection with the city where she was born and raised, was an unforgettable moment for all of us. Prof. Dr. Füsun Üstel's session on "Cultural Cooperation" provided a rich conceptual framework for our discussions throughout the day. The search conference sessions moderated by Assoc. Prof. Gökçe Dervişoğlu Okandan helped us to jointly develop proposals for democratic cultural cooperation. Your contributions will form the cornerstones of the policy text to be published in 2025. At the end of the day, Serdar Öztop and Anadolu Kolektif's concert was a celebration that reflected the spirit of Ortaklaşa."
