Wednesday Talks of “Richness Multiplies as You Share!” Exhibition
Wednesday Talks starts on October 13, within the scope of the "Richness Multiplies as You Share!" Exhibition, opened at the Troy Museum and reflecting the 15-year adventure of the OPET Respect for History Project, intertwined with the ancient history of Çanakkale. In the first of the conversations, which aim to build a bridge between the cultural landscape of Troy geography and the Troy Museum, the processes experienced within the scope of the Respect to History Project in Çıplak and Tevfikiye Villages will be discussed. The conversation will be attended by representatives from both villages, Arkeo-Village and Ethno-Village practices, which aim at a social and cultural transformation as well as physical, envision these villages as living cultural heritage sites and transform them into original haunts within the cultural tourism activity in the region. It will be discussed through the experiences and observations of the people who are part of this process.
Wednesday Talks, which will start at 16.00 every Wednesday for 4 weeks at the Troy Museum, are open to anyone who wants to explore the historical and cultural ties of the Troy Museum and the Ruins with its cultural ecosystem of villages. In the upcoming conversations different subjects, from the archaeological memories of the workers who took part in the Troy Excavations to the traces of the events on the Anatolian front of the Dardanelles War, will be discussed with the interventions by people who have lived in Troy for generations.
