Tevfikiye OPET Archeo-Village Art Days 2
Both children and adults were welcomed with creative and entertaining activities within the scope of the 2nd Tevfikiye OPET Archeo-Village Art Days held on Sunday, May 5 between 12.00-18.00. Art lovers both discovered Tevfikiye Archeo-Village during the event where archaeology, excavation and restoration workshops for children, ceramics for children and adults, prints, paintings, toy workshops, Trojan-themed games and competitions, local products, music accompanied animations took place. People spent a spring day with the Trojans full of archaeology and art.
In the exhibition titled “Manzara", which was opened with the festival and continued until July 1, the original productions of young generation artists met with art lovers. Alperen Başbunar, İsmail Bulut, Ece Güneş Erten, Semiha Güler, Burcu Gürcü, Elif Havuz, Halil İbrahim Kara, Oğuzhan Karadal, İlter Özyıldırım, Erdal Sezer, Canalp Sipahi, Tarkan Yalçın, Ömer Akif Yeldan, Duygu Yücel and Ogün Yücel's works in different techniques such as ceramics, painting and drawing presented a landscape inspired by common values of human, history, culture and nature.
As part of the art days, a special archaeological excavation workshop was organized for students coming from schools in Çanakkale on 3 May. Head of Troy Excavation Prof. Rüstem Aslan first gave a tour of the ancient city of Troy and the Museum of Troy, then carried out archaeological excavations and ceramic restoration works at the mini excavation area in the garden of the Trojan House in Tevfikiye Archeo-Village.
