Wednesday Talks a the Museum of Troy
Wednesday Talks, organized as part of the "Richness Multiplies as You Share" Exhibition, which was opened at the Troy Museum and reflects the 15-year adventure of the OPET Respect to History Project, intertwined with the ancient history of Çanakkale, aimed to build a bridge between the Troy Museum and the cultural landscape of Troy geography. In the conversations held with the participation of representatives from the villages located in the Troy National Park, different subjects were discussed through local history narratives, testimonies and memories. The processes experienced within the scope of the Respect to History Project in the Çıplak and Tevfikiye Villages, the memories of the workers from the region who worked in the Troy excavations for generations, the ethnographic, anthropological and cultural dimensions of the Troy Excavations, the effects of the 20th-century wars in the Troy region were the topics of the conversations. Troy Museum Director Rıdvan Gölcük, Head of Troy Excavation Prof. Rüstem Aslan, OPET Respect for History Project Troy Section design and art consultants Seyhan Boztepe and Deniz Erbaş, OPET Respect to History Project Field Coordinator Fatma Hacıalioğlu, historian Dr Mithat Atabay also participated in the discussions, which are a true oral history archive.
