Actor, dancer and choreographer Korhan Başaran, whose career is shaped between Turkey and the USA, attended the 7th Çanakkale Biennial with the video of his 2018 performance titled "Broke n". “Broke n” is an effort to reflect the mood of a period in which actions and protests in the East, the West and around the world fill all communication channels, in which bodies are at the forefront with their brokenness, and both individual and collective demands, desires and feelings find their expression in the fragility of the body. Despite the risk of partial or complete loss of bodily integrity, the expressiveness of bodies moving in the public sphere, the intensity of sadness and pain remind us of also the potentials of vulnerability.
