“From A to B” shows Chinese migrant workers who have left their homes in search for jobs in the city. In their bags they carry their belongings from one place of work to another. They were filmed in various districts of Beijing, their images isolated from the background and recomposed into a virtual setting. The movements are frozen, only small groups traverse the apparently infinite landscape in endless repetition. Where do they come from and where do they go? The completely empty environment gives us no answer to this question.
